Gluchacki Combines Racing and Entrepreneurship During Kulwicki Driver Development Program’s
First Segment

CONCORD, North Carolina (June 19, 2025) –Derek Gluchacki devoted his time to racing and starting a new business during the Kulwicki Driver Development Program’s first segment in which he finished second in the standings. Even though rain sharply curtailed Gluchacki’s on-track activity, limiting his races to five in which he collected one top five, the inclement weather didn’t slow his off-track ventures. The Massachusetts native started a business that involves setting up Late Models at Thompson (Conn.) Speedway Motorsports Park and coaching young drivers.

Gluchacki, who was the runner-up for last year’s Kulwicki Cup, is focusing on two charities this year: The Make A Wish Foundation and the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention. However, his involvement with those two charities hasn’t stopped him from working with others. On Mother’s Day, he donated to a non-profit dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty. When he learned that children in a class at Providence Elementary School didn’t have the money to obtain a book at the Book Fair scheduled for the school, he provided a financial donation that would allow each child to acquire a book.

This year, members of Alan Kulwicki’s 1992 NASCAR Cup championship team are mentoring the five “Underbirds.” Gluchacki’s mentor is Peter Jellen.
